Our Summer "Vacation" in Utah

We had so much fun in Utah. We didn't plan on doing much this summer so we went and spent some time with family in Utah. The girls had so much fun playing with cousins, playing in the water, eating, jumping on the trampoline, watching movies, staying up way to late, playing with Grandpa and Grandma and of course Sally (the dog), playing the wii, going to see Horton Hears a Who, seeing new things and so much more. They loved going to the aqaurium and downtown to temple square and the church history museum.

Playing with Aunt Becka and cousin Franklin.

My Teaching Certificate

I graduated from BYUI July 18, 2007. One year ago tomorrow. Weird that it has been that long. I finally decided that I should apply for my teaching certificate. I received it in the mail yesterday. It is exciting that I can teach now if I want to. I am so glad that I went back to school and finished. I hope that one day I will teach. I think for now I will wait until my kids are just a little bit older though.

Another cake

A lady at my work asked me to make a birthday cake for her daughter. She wanted flowers and cute bugs on it. It turned out better than I thought it was going to. I was very upset when I put the fondant on it becuase it was so warm in my house that the frosting under it became to soft. If you have ever used fondant before you know that you need that frosting to help give it that smooth look. Well as you can see, it is not perfectly smooth. But overall I think it is okay.

2 Months Old

My sweet little baby girl is 2 months old. At her appointment today she was 11lbs 2oz (60th percentile) and 24 inches long (96th percentile). I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. It makes me laugh that I complained for so long while I was pregnant. It is now that the time should go by slowly, not while we are pregnant.

Jaina is doing so well. She is getting her schedule down a little better so that she sleeps more at night. Thank Goodness!!! She is smiling more and makes such cute cooing noises. Although she is also learning how to make it clear that she is not happy. She is so loved by 2 doting parents and 2 very caring, big sisters.

I am still amazed some days to think that I am a Mom. I sure have 3 cute kids though!

Happy 4th of July

We had a fun 4th. We went to the parade, had a BBQ with some of Daniels family and watched the fireworks from our house. It was hot during the parade and windy the rest of the day. The kids had fun watching all the horses, people, tractors and everything else go by. I think their favorite part was collecting all the candy that was thrown at them.

Me and Jaina trying to stay out of sun. (I know, my hat is so cute!)

Jaina not to sure about being out in the hot
sun.
Anna and Kalissa waiting for the parade to march by.

Happy Birthday Daniel

Happy Birthday Daniel! It is great that he is finally the same age as Iam. I know that 6 months is not that big of a deal but still.
Daniel is such a great husband and Dad. He does so many things with our girls and they love him so much. The picture is of him playing with the princess dolls. Anna gave him the witch and the dragon to play with. He couldn't have any of the princesses though. This week he helped Kalissa make her own Chutes and Ladders game. (Which is very cute.) He is always trying to make their days fun. He has so much patience with them. He gets to spend a lot of time with them becuase I am at work during the day. Then he spends his afternoons/nights working. We sure love him for everything!

Misc Pictures

Annalin dressed up in her "Princess" cape. One of her favorite movies is Barbie's Princess and the Pauper and in it they have capes so she has to wears her too. Jaina so excited to be home from church. She does pretty well at church but she really likes when we get home. She looks bald in this picture but she still has all her hair. She doesn't even have a bald spot on the back yet.
Trying to beat the heat. They were so funny. The water was soooo cold and they kept trying to sit in it. It was very funny to watch.
On a side note: I have really been trying to loose the baby weight. Last night I was running on the treadmill and the girls were both just watching me. I told them that I could run without them staring at me. Kalissa said she had to watch because she wanted to watch the weight come off. I laughed and tried to explain that it doesn't work that way. (Wouldn't it be great if it did!) They have watched the biggest looser and have seen how they loose weight. They just don't realize what happens between each week.

The Riot Zone

We had my company party at the Riot Zone last Thursday. For all that don't know, the Riot Zone is the closest thing we get to an amusement park up here and believe me, it's not that close. But it is something for the kids to enjoy.

Playing in the toys.

They have a couple kids rides, paddle boats, bumper boats, blow up toys, go carts on a race track for both kids and adults and minature golf.

We didn't do much but the girls still had a blast! I was just glad that it was going to be over. Since I was in charge of it.

The girls enjoying their icecream immensely as you can tell from their faces.
