Halloween

We had an exciting Halloween.  It was rainy and quite cold but the girls looked cute in their costumes, had a great time at their school parties and were able to go trick-or-treating.  So they were happy. 



Anna was a witch, Jaina was Rapunzel and Amree and Kalissa were both bees.  By this time of the day Amree decided she had had enough of Halloween however she was very excited earlier.



My Mom made Jaina's Rapunzel dress.  She looked so beautiful!  She was very excited about her first school parade.

Amree was equally excited to be at the school and in a costume.

Anna wouldn't stop long enough for us to get a picture of her.  But she looks cute from the back.

We had to bundle up for Trick-or-Treating.

 Between the rain and the cold temps we were icicles when we got home.  Kalissa wasn't with us for part of the night because she decided she was old enough to go by herself.

Pumpkin Carving and Cookies

We carved the pumpkins last night.  The end products turned out pretty good and everyone was happy!

I don't know if she ever took a bite of the cookie, but she really liked that frosting!

Amree turned 2 last Friday, October 25.  She had a very exciting day.  We spent it at my Uncle & Aunt's cabin by Strawberry Reservoir in Utah.  She had a favorite for breakfast, colored pancakes with whipping cream.

She ate sugar cookies - always a favorite

and listened to many songs on the player piano.  Both Uncle David and Uncle Andrew helped with that.

I tried to get some cute pictures however she was not very cooperative.  She had her hand in her mouth in almost every shot.

I did get this cute picture. Kalissa wasn't in it because she had gone fishing with the boys.

 

I wish I could say she was smiling so big because of her cake.  I think she liked it however the smile came from everyone singing Happy Birthday to her.  She LOVED that part!

Happy Birthday sweet girl!  So glad you're ours forever!

Donation

Kalissa has wanted to cut her hair for about a year now.  She has always looked cute with short hair but you can do so many more things with it when it is long.  I finally gave in and we chopped it off  last weekend. 

About 11" to give to Locks of Love!  Now I just need to remember to send it in.

Fall Update

Jaina decided to not do dance this year but she liked trying on all the dance outfits.

Grandpa, Kalissa and Anna on the lift for the Alpine Slide in Park City.  We were lucky to be in Salt Lake to see Tarazan on the weekend they celebrated my cousins Seth's birthday.  It was fun to see family we don't see very often.

We had a great crop of carrots this year.  I froze a lot!

Jaina and Anna had been hitting each other so their punishment was to hold hands.  They were fine until one had to use the bathroom.  They went together, but I'm not sure how it turned out.

Santa brought us this duck game years ago.   It been a favorite of all the girls.

Another quick trip to Salt Lake over Conference Weekend. Rebecca had come up from St. George so we decided we'd better go down to see her and the kids.

We decorated Grandpa and Grandma's driveway with beautiful chalk drawings

I love all the drawings that my kids do.  This was a recent assignment that Jaina did last week.  The first box is a giraffe the second is her and a dinosaur.

All of these pictures were taken with my phone.  It seems now that we are back in school we are so busy.  I can't believe I haven't updated our blog for almost 2 months.  Maybe the coming month I'll do better. ;)
