Pumpkin Carving

This year our girls picked out beautiful pumpkins. We bought them early so we would have a good selection. We placed all 3 out on our porch until we were ready to carve them. They were stolen last Monday night. They weren't smashed, just taken. Hopefully whoever took them really needed them becuase many tears were shed at our house over our stolen pumpkins. Daniels boss invited the girls over to pick some out of his field, which was so nice of him! So these are what we ended up with.

Excited about her pumpkin

We tried to get her to put her hand in it, she refused. See below for the close-up scowl. (She's really, REALLY good at this face.)

Then, deciding it was cool becuase her sisters were doing it, she finally did it. And LOVED it!

All finished. Jaina wanted her hand on hers, Anna's is covered with hearts and Daniel helped Kalissa carve a cat face.
She enjoyed the cookies more than the carving.

I cannot believe someone stole your pumpkins! How rude! What is Rexburg turning into! :) They would have had to go a little out of the way to do that. Seriously, some people! Anyway, your pumpkins turned out so cute and it was nice that Dan's boss let them come and get some pumpkins. Happy Halloween!

Cute pictures. I agree with Jaina the cookies are way better than icky pumpkin guts! Funny you mentioned how nice and warm it looks on my blog, as it was "too warm" to put Jacob's costume on that day. Hopefully it will cool down for this weekends activities. But at least we have lived here long enough to know that we paint our pumpkins, as they mold when we carve them=)

How sad that your pumpkins were stolen! I LOVE the hand pumpkin, though! Jaina is so creative. :)
