Amree's First Haircut

I finally cut Amree's hair for the first time on July 21st.  We didn't cut much, just trimmed the ends.

There isn't a significant reason for waiting until she was almost 5 to cut it, I just never did.

She sure is a stinking cute kid!

Uncle Bryan passed away on July 15, 2016.  It was a very sad day for our family.  With as many deaths as we have experienced in recent years we're really glad for eternal families.  We know we will be with him again. We were also glad that we had all just been together for the family reunion.  Although the funeral was a sad reason to get together, it is always nice to be with our family.

Lusk Family Reunion

We had our 2016 family reunion with the Lusk side the 2nd weekend of July.  Sadly I didn't take many pictures.  We always have so much fun when we get together with our large family.  We had dinner, games and a movie on Friday night and some camped out at Grandma's house.   On Saturday they had breakfast and played. Uncle Rodney and Bryan helped with an obstacle course of moving horses, milking a fake cow, making rope... (I missed this part because I went to Utah with Jaina and Amree that morning)  In the afternoon they played on the big water slide like last year again.
Sophi put together a fun game with plastic wrap and candy.  Sarah won the $10 of quarters in the middle.

4th of July

After all our traveling we stayed home for the 4th. Anna and Kalissa got to be in the parade and were pretty excited.

We had great seats to enjoy the parade until LOTS of people came and stood in the road in front of us.

Kalissa and I made this fun cake.

We lit some of our own fireworks and enjoyed all the random ones being lit around us. It was a nice, relaxing day after our weekend trip.

Heading Home

We drove home on July 3rd.  It was fun for these two to be together for their birthday since they never get to be.

On the way home we stopped at Warm River Springs.

We were a little more prepared to get in the water this time.

Some of the kids even made it to the top of the spring.

It was a nice end to our fun trip.

Lewis and Clark Caverns and Virginia City Montana

On Saturday morning we got up early and drove to the Lewis and Clark Caverns.

The hike up to the top was hot and a little long for some of the little legs we had with us.

We took turns carrying the little ones to the top.

The views from the top were amazing.

One of our favorite parts was the beaver slide at the beginning.

The formations inside were really neat to look at.

There were A LOT of stairs in caves.  But everyone did a great job going through.

This was my favorite formation in the cave, the Brown Waterfall.

We ate lunch at a picnic area below the caves and then drove to Virginia City in hopes to ride the train.

The train rides were full but we had fun exploring around town.

That night we stayed in Bozeman and ate at Roost Fried Chicken.
The older girls were excited to get the chicken on a stick.  It was some pretty yummy food.

The kids had so much swimming at the hotels.

One more picture.  I just love when I catch my girls being sweet to each other.  Anna fell asleep whiling rubbing Amree's back.  Such a nice sister.
