Girls Camp, A Storm and Mary Poppins

We had a busy week. Starting with Kalissa going to girls camp.  She got home on Friday, washed laundry and then we went to Salt Lake.
Kalissa was so excited for her 1st year at girls camp.  She loved it!

We had a little storm in Rexburg on Tuesday July 15th. It started with hail and then lots and lots of rain.  A crazy flash flood ran through Rexburg flooding BYUI and many stores and homes. The videos on YouTube are unbelievable.

Our garden looked pretty sad but it has since bounced back.

The day after the storm the weather was beautiful. We got Icee's  to celebrate our good weather.

Over the weekend we went to Salt Lake to see Mary Poppins with Grandpa and Grandma.  We had a fun time.  This was Amree's first theater visit.  She did okay but didn't sit still for very long.

We went with Grandma to look at cupboards for her house.  The girls had a fun time playing around at the store.

For lunch we went to Crown Burger. Jaina ordered onion rings.  They were very big!

The house is looking great!  Grandpa and the boys have done a great job!

Amree tried to keep everyone cool with the hose as we visited at the house.

We stopped for a minute to use the bathroom and see the cute twins at Andrew and Lindsay's.  Jaina was excited to hold Norah.

On Sunday we drove to Logan to listen to Nathan speak before leaving on his mission.  We were a little early so we drove by the temple.  I snapped this picture of the temple.  It was a beautiful, perfect morning.

After our busy weekend some of us had a hard time holding still during church.  We resorted to taking pictures.

and trying on glasses.

On the way home from Logan we stopped at Red Rock Pass.  It's a big hill with stairs to the top.  Over years of driving by it we've always said one day we would stop so we finally did.

The view was beautiful from the top.

Our Independence Day(weekend) Celebration

The 4th is such a fun holiday and we like to look festive for it!
We drove to Salt Lake and had a look at the progress of my parents new home.  It's very exciting to see how much has been done.
For the 4th we had dinner and fireworks at David and Becki's.  We had so much fun playing with our cousins, eating and holding babies!
Jaina and Taylee enjoying some yummy pizza fresh out of the pizza oven.

Reyen and Kalissa.  It's hard to believe Kalissa was the same size when she was born.

Amree and Franklin

After dinner we went to an elementary school and lit parachutes and sky spiders.  The kids love catching the ribbons falling from the sky.

Jaina was having a hard time catching any ribbons so Uncle Chris helped her.
Success = Happiness
Uncle Michael helping Amree. It was her first time trying sparklers.
In the end, I don't think she cared to much about them.

Kalissa, Elsie, Kayla and Annalin watching the firework show.

On Saturday we went to a baby shower for the twins.  The girls had fun playing together and visiting while the boys were working on the house.

Kalissa, Reyen, Amree, Isabel, McKenzie and Gracie

These two were pretty cute together; they are only 6 weeks apart in age.  It was so fun to have our New York cousins in town to visit with.  We miss them.

David and Becki were so nice to let us stay with them.  Amree really liked this big pillow.  When she wouldn't sleep anywhere else she ended up here.

On Sunday we got to go to the blessing of Henry and Norah.
After the blessing we were able to get a picture of the 4 new Wilcox babies.  All born within 6 weeks. They are in birth order from oldest to youngest. (Andrew and Lindsay's Henry and Norah, Rebecca and Jared's Emmitt and Michael and Julie's Reyen)

Gracie turned 7 on Sunday.  We had another dinner and celebrated with cake and ice cream.
At some point my phone was snagged by Emily.  I LOVED all the surprise pictures left for me.

Monday morning we went to the Aquarium with Grandma, Rebecca and her kids and Franklin and Isabel.

The penguins were a favorite to watch.

Kalissa, Isabel and Grandma were the only brave ones to cross the jungle bridge.
The picture is fuzzy but here is most of the crew with the penguins.

Kalissa is pretending the boat is sinking.

The kids were able to swim and David's neighbors but Amree really liked this little pool.  It was the perfect size for her and the slide was so much fun!

We really could not get enough of the babies!   Any chance we had, we were holding one.

On Monday we had family night with Micheal's family.  He got out his candy cannon and the kids LOVED it!

We had such a fun time!  We'll be back before we know it.
