Happy Birthday

Kalissa is 10 years old today.  She was upset that yesterday was her last day in "single" digits.  Now she says she feels old.  I think I feel old!
This year we decided to make cake pops rather than a cake.  I did arrange them in a cake like way though.:)  It was my first time making them but I think they turned out pretty good and they were a hit at the birthday party.

 The whole group.

Amree missed most of the party but she really liked playing with the wrapping paper when it was over.

Braces

Just 4 on the bottom for now.  They should come off in about 10 months and then she should get her full set in about 3 years.

6 Months Old

This beautiful little girl is now 6 months old; it's hard to believe.
She is learning new things every day. She does funny things with her tongue, loves to play with her toys, can sit up by herself (although she still falls occasionally) and she likes to sing at the wrong times at church.
We're still working on the eating issue. She DOES NOT like to eat off a spoon. We've tried rice cereal, bananas and yogurt.  I guess we'll keep trying until she figures it out.
Look at those cheeks.  They are so VERY kissable.  We cannot get enough of her!!!

Easter Eggs

Amree didn't care too much for dying eggs.

The other girls LOVED it of course.  This year we even tried dying an egg in Crystal Light.  It worked quite well.

Amree also had her first taste of cereal.  She did okay but it was the first and last time she has wanted to eat any.  We can't get her to do anything but spit it out.  She doesn't even try to swallow!  It's frustrating!!!  I need her to sleep more.  I was hoping once we got to this stage she might.  So far still no more sleep.

California

We went on a fun trip to California last week. We didn't tell the girls until the morning we left and they were pretty excited. We flew from Idaho Falls to Los Angeles and stayed in Imperial Beach just south of San Diego. Grandma, David and Becki and their kids flew from Salt Lake City and me us there. The condo we stayed at was on the beach and we heard the waves of the ocean all the time. We went to the Wild Animal Park, Disneyland and Seaworld. Played on the beach, picked our own oranges and went swimming almost daily in the pool/hot tub. It was such a fun get-away. At the airport all ready to go

The view from our balcony the first night in Imperial Beach.

Easter Sunday after church.

All the kids at the Wild Animal Park
One of the most exciting animals to see. The baby gorilla was sooo cute!

Picking our own oranges. I wish the girls would like oranges. They didn't even try them.

Grandma and Amree on the beach.

Anna and Kalissa both LOVED the ocean. It was FREEZING cold but it didn't stop them from getting in any chance they had.

Jaina preferred to plan in the sand.

Daniel and Amree watching the kids and Uncle David in the waves.

Our brave Kalissa even gave boogie-boarding a try.

Jaina and Dad on the tea cups.

Grandma and Kalissa on Small World

Amree spent a lot of her time in the stroller but she did try a couple of rides with us at Disneyland.

Jaina and Uncle David at Seaworld watching the dolphins

Emily, Taylee, Anna, Kalissa, Eli and Jaina trying to touch the sea stars.

Emily took Anna and Kalissa on the Shipwreck Rapids ride and they got SOAKED!!! There were water cannons that Uncle David paid extra money to use andsoak them as they passed by.

Ready to go home. We had a fun time but everyone was tired. Can't wait for another fun trip. Still hoping for New York in October!!!!! ;)
