Funny Things

My little Kalissa is such a smart kid. She is always saying such funny things, I only wish I could remember to write everything down. She takes everything very literally. She reminds me of the books with all the sayings that you hear that do not make since to kids, like the fork in the road.

The other day we were driving and she kept telling me to go faster, (we weren't speeding) I told her that I couldn't because there was a slow-poke in front of us. She told me they need to move over becuase we were "fast-pokes".

My girls are both very girly and love girly things. On Saturday Kalissa was dancing around with her wand granting wishes. She usually likes to turn us into animals but today she was granting wishes. This was our conversation.

"Mom what wish would you like?"

"Nothing today." I was busy doing something and didn't really want to play right then.

"Come on Mom you can have any wish you want."

"Okay, I wish that my girls would clean up their room."

"I'm sorry that wish is not available right now. You have to wish for something else."

I am not kidding those were the exact words she said. She just makes me smile.

Jaina's Blessing Day

We had Jaina's blessing yesterday. It was a nice, busy day. Daniel gave her a beautiful blessing and he said she was so good during it.

Aren't her shoes so cute? They are so tiny and still don't fit her feet.
I need to take more pictures of her though. Her bow fell out of her hair not long after we got to church so she kind-of looks like a boy in a dress, and I forgot to put it back in for the pictures. I finally finished her dress by sewing on the buttons Sunday morning but still it was done!

A bunch of my family made the long, expensive drive up from Utah to be with us. It was nice to have help with everything and others to play with the girls. After everyone left, Kalissa said our house was boring again. We had everyone over for lunch after church so we had a lot of people at our house for a while. It is quite a change when everyone leaves.

Smiles

I finally caught a good smile on camera. Isn't she so cute! She is smiling and cooing and making such fun baby noises all the time. (She also makes the unpleasant crying ones too.) At times we will just find her laughing. It makes me wonder what about.

The girls always want to know what she is saying. I try to explain that I don't know how to speak baby but every time she makes a peep they have to know what she is saying and why. I have just started making up things to make them happy.

They are both such good little mothers. In fact it is amazing the change in Kalissa if she is angry at something, just ask her to take care of the baby and she is a completely different person. Smiley and happy. It's great!

Having a rest in the high chair. I love that it reclines. It makes it very convenient.

Warmer Weather Finally!!!!

It is so nice to finally have some warm weather. We don't have very exciting toys for the kids to play on (if you ask Kalissa, she will sure tell you!) but my little monkey's still manage to have fun. The last week of keeping the kids in the house out of our hurricane feeling wind was awful, for all involved.
Hopefully this is here to stay for a while

Anna and her Sunglasses

It is amazing how exciting a pair of sunglasses can be. I have tried for some time now to explain that they go the other way but she won't hear it. She certainly has a mind of her own!

Dress-up

It has been so windy and cold up here. (It is even snowing today.) We don't get to go outside very often except for the brief running from the car to the store. The girls have been trying to entertain themselves. This day they were princesses. They love these fun dresses their very talented Grandma Wilcox made for them. Princess Anna

1 Month Old

I can't believe our baby is 1 month old. Time goes by so much faster when they are out of you. We have such good helpers, most of the time too good of helpers. They always want to be by her touching her. I wonder if it drives her crazy like it does me. She is staying awake more (mostly at night) and becoming more alert. She smiles and I tell myself it is not a reflex any more but that she is really actually happy to see me. She is still so cute. In this picture she appears to be annoyed by me. Probaby sick of the camera already. Isn't her hair cute! I don't quite know what to do with it. I have not had a baby with so much hair.

Our Weekend

Here are a few pictures of our exciting weekend.

Anna made a lovely bead tiara from beads that Amy and Chris gave her that are actually supposed to make different bugs. Jaina growing quicky. Nice tongue!
I bought an exercise ball. The girls think it is a play toy. I have to hide it from them so they don't break their arms or something else. Now I just have to get up the will power to use it. I certainly need to.
I finally finished Annalin's quilt. I am in trouble though because it is pink and Kalissa's favorite color is pink. Kalissa's quilt is purple and that is Anna's favorite color. Oh well.
Jaina hanging out.
